Javan Sportscars was formed to design and manufacture a low volume sportscar - the Javan R1. The car utilises a lightweight aluminium monocoque and fantastic Honda K20 drivetrain to produce a dynamic car weighing just 600kgs and possessing 225bhp.

The R1 has been sold in both the UK and North America and cars are built to special order for discerning clients who value individuality and a bespoke service.

Since January 2011 JSC Automotive has concentrated on providing specialist consultancy to the low volume sportscar market delivering wide ranging projects for clients from the completion of initial feasibility studies through to turn key prototype vehicles.

Our services include both project planning and delivery, with our large network of contacts ensuring that we can combine our own in house capabilities with other specialists to provide a complete start to finish managed service for our clients. 

An in depth knowledge of the UK grant funding landscape means that we can often assist our clients in approaching agencies for support in the delivery of their projects.

As a business we are always interested in working with other companies on innovative research and development projects, whether they are part funded through programmes such as those run by the Niche Vehicle Network, Innovate UK and The Advanced Propulsion Centre, or on a purely commercial basis.

We have developed a number of lightweight aluminium vehicle architectures to suit a variety of 4/6 and 8 cylinder combustion engines, along with hybrid and full electric vehicles.

These structures are available for low volume manufacturers under license or purchase agreements, and can be adapted to meet the specific requirements of any given application. This approach radically reduces both the investment and lead time required to take a concept vehicle to market, both elements helping to increase the viability of new vehicle projects and accelerating the vehicle development process.
